This Repatriation mission was easily one of the coolest things I've ever done. We supported an agency called JPAC, based out of Hickam AFB, Hawaii who research, find & bring home the remains of MIA soldiers in the pacific theater between World War II & Vietnam. We shuttled people & supplies for two days between Utapao, Thailand & Hanoi, Vietnam. These photos are from the ceremony held on the ramp at the airport. We brought home the remains of 3 aircrew from a B-52 that crashed into the jungle & 1 navy pilot who impacted the side of a mountain.
