Some friend's and I did a little camping in northern Arkansas at Bull Shoals White River State Park a few weeks ago. We intended on hiking but the recent ice storm had sheared off the top of nearly every tree in the forest. Needless to say, all of the trails were closed.
We had a chance to meet the local law enforcement at a speed trap heading into town. We found the only watering hole around and complained about the ticket to the bartender. She was not happy & called every single officer & judge she knew in town to repeal the ticket but to no avail. She did however, give us our drinks on
.
One thing I learned: Never give a pilot a map or you'll turn a 3 hour road trip to 5
