We visited the small town of Gruene on Friday night & had dinner at the Gristmill overlooking the Guadalupe river.
Saturday we took a day trip to Lockhart, the BBQ capital of Texas. Smitty's provided a smorgasbord of slow cooked meat. The walls are covered in soot. It was awesome.

After lunch we met with Carol & Dylan to see the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center & have pizza in Austin.
Sunday we checked out the airshow at Lackland AFB
